Going back centuries through history, every ship had a space set aside for the captain to do his work, whether calculating position, or monitoring wages and inventory. The originals were all hand made of wood to a simple design with a curved back for support when the ship rocked.
Our updated Captain's chesterfield chair is designed not just for support but also for looks and comfort. The back has carved mahogany that resembles the deck railings on old warships and merchant ships with matching carved details on the 5 point legs.
Photographed in premium caramel leather this chair may be ordered in any of our standard antiqued, premium or deluxe leathers or a fabric of your own choice. Detailed with brass studs edging the back rail accenting the hand buttoned back and brass casters for flexible movement, this most elegant Captain's chair would happily decorate any modern office as well as the captain's quarters on today's sailing vessels.
